My QR code won't scan

Start with contrast. On Pro you can recolour your QR code, and a light or low-contrast colour is the most common reason a code stops scanning — phone cameras need a clear dark-on-light pattern. If in doubt, download the plain black-and-white code from your dashboard Overview, which is the most reliable version there is.

Then check the physical side. The code needs to be big enough for a phone held at a comfortable distance, printed sharply rather than scaled up from a small image, and lit well enough to see. Laminated or glossy cards lying flat on a table are a common culprit: the glare and the shallow viewing angle together defeat a lot of phones. Standing it upright usually fixes it on its own.

Creases matter too. A QR code folded through the middle, or printed across the fold of a menu, often won't read.

If a guest still can't scan it, give them the event link instead — it opens exactly the same page, and you can read it out, message it, or let them type it in.
