Song requests at weddings have always been a slightly awkward affair. A well-meaning guest a few drinks in, leaning over the decks to shout a song title at a DJ who is mid-mix and can’t hear a word they’re saying.

Does the DJ see every request before it plays?
Yes — every request lands in your dashboard and waits for your approval. Nothing is added to any playlist without you explicitly accepting it. You can also reject or skip requests silently, with no notification to the guest.
Can I filter out explicit content or block genres?
Yes. You can enable an explicit content filter so guests can only request clean versions of songs. You can also block entire genres — any request that matches a blocked genre will be rejected before it reaches your dashboard. Genre filtering is available on the Pro plan.
Can I use BeatTribe for multiple gigs?
Yes. Create a separate event for each booking — each gets its own QR code, request link, and settings. Switch between events from the same dashboard. Weddings, bar residencies, and corporate nights can all run at the same time.
Does it work with Spotify, TIDAL, and Apple Music?
Yes. Once you've approved your requests, push the playlist to Spotify, TIDAL or Apple Music in one click. All three services are supported. The free plan includes one playlist export per event; the Pro plan unlocks up to five.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. Guests scan the QR code and the request page opens instantly in their browser. Works on iPhone, Android, and any modern device — nothing to install, no account needed on their end.
Can I collect requests before the event?
Yes. Share the event link with guests days or weeks before the gig — via email, WhatsApp, or on the invitation. You'll arrive at the venue with a queue of requests already waiting.
How does BeatTribe handle duplicate requests?
If multiple guests request the same song, it only appears once in your approved playlist — no duplicates in the sync. You can still see how many people requested it in the dashboard.
Is BeatTribe free for DJs?
