Do my guests need to download an app?

Sharing with guests

No — there is nothing for your guests to install. The request page is an ordinary web page, so scanning the QR code with the built-in camera app on an iPhone or Android phone opens it right away. They don't need a QR reader app, a BeatTribe account, or a login of any kind.

On the page they type the song and artist they'd like to hear and add their name. That's the whole flow — a matter of seconds — and they can come back and request more later, up to whatever per-submission limit you've set. If you'd rather not collect names at all, the Allow Anonymous Requests setting on Pro hides the name field entirely.

What your guests see. No app, no account, just a song and a name.

Because it's just a web page, it works on any reasonably modern phone, tablet, or laptop browser, and you can send it as a plain link when that's easier than a code. Your guests also never need a Spotify, Apple Music, or TIDAL account — connecting a streaming service is something only you do.
