Can guests request songs without giving their name?

Controlling what can be requested

Yes. Turn on Allow Anonymous Requests in Layout Settings, on the Design tab. It removes the name field from the request page, so guests can send songs without typing anything about themselves. It's a Pro feature.

With it switched on, every request arrives in your dashboard labelled simply as Anonymous. That's the trade-off worth weighing: you gain requests from people who'd rather not be identified, and you lose the names.

Those names are more useful than they sound. Plenty of DJs use them on the microphone — thanking someone by name as their song comes in is an easy win, and it's the sort of thing people remember about a night.

So the choice depends on the room. For a corporate event, or anywhere guests might feel self-conscious about their taste, anonymous requests usually mean more requests. For a wedding or a party among friends, the names are generally worth keeping.
