What happens if a guest requests a song that isn't on my streaming service?
Working with playlists
The request still reaches you. It appears in your dashboard like any other, with the artist and title your guest typed — nothing is rejected at the point of asking, and guests are never told a song is unavailable.
What changes is the sync. When you push your list to a playlist, BeatTribe looks each song up on the service you've connected. Anything it can't find there is quietly left out, so the playlist ends up slightly shorter than your request list. The counter shown during the sync is where you'll notice — if it reads 18 of 20, two songs didn't make it.
Usually it's a spelling slip rather than a missing song, so it's worth correcting the artist or title in your list and syncing again before assuming the track isn't there.
If it genuinely isn't on your service — some releases never arrive, and catalogues differ by country — the request is still sitting in your list. You can play it from another source, or let the guest know.
