Do I need a streaming account to use BeatTribe?

Connecting a streaming service

No. You can run a whole event without connecting any streaming service at all. Guests send in their requests, those requests appear in your dashboard, and you can read them off your phone or download them as a spreadsheet — which is all you need if you play from CDJs, DJ software, or your own library.

A streaming account only matters when you want BeatTribe to build the playlist for you. Connect your own Spotify, Apple Music or TIDAL account in the Sync tab and your approved requests get pushed into a real playlist there, ready to play. Spotify works on every plan; connecting Apple Music or TIDAL is a Pro feature, and the button on those cards tells you so if you're on the free plan.

Your guests never need an account on any streaming service, and they don't need a BeatTribe account either. They open your link, type in the songs they want, and that's the end of their involvement.
